Ariel Winter can rest easy … for now.

A custody agreement for the 14-year old actress has finally been reached by her mother and sister.  L.A. County Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas overlooked the terms and noted that Ariel will remain in the custody of her sister Shanelle Gray until March.  At that time the situation will once again be evaluated.

Meanwhile, Ariel’s father Glenn Workman will have temporary custody of his daughter’s estate and will undergo counseling alongside Shanelle and Ariel.  Ariel’s mother, Crystal Workman, will also undergo counseling with her daughters in an attempt to find a long term resolution to all this drama.

Ariel’s brother Jimmy was pleased with the agreement; “It looks like the court is going to order therapy and counseling to get my family back together, where [we] should be. [My father] is…thrilled. My mother is very happy [that] everyone is going to work together.”

Ariel’s courtroom drama began after allegations of emotional and physical abuse arose against her mother Chrisoula.  Ariel has been living with her sister and was relieved to be going home with her after the custody ruling.  According to Us Weekly, the young actress cried happy tears after the judge made his announcement and left the court hand in hand with her sister.

We’re very glad that Ariel is going to have some peace (and not have to live with her mom,) and hope that her family is able to work this out long-term, for her sake.
